Auditioning for Drama school,TV or University Theatre course?
QSPA offers one to one theatre audition training and distance training.
Auditioning for a place on a drama course can be soooo daunting! So many requirements (especially if auditioning for two or three). The competition will be intense, and if you've only done 'school drama' you may well be at a disadvantage to those who have been doing extra curricular theatre work or had some form of training.
If you really feel you have what this career takes and have the ability, attend a QSPA audition session and get prepared.
Contact QSPA at your earliest opportunity and get some coaching. It will definitely pay off!
Help, how do I perform this piece of Shakespeare!!
Choosing a suitable text....There's so many!!!
Warming up for the audition...I'm so nervous!!!
all of the above can be covered in ONE QSPA audition session.
Artistic Director, Catherine Steer, coaches drama students every year, around August/September...in time for their auditions. All students who have been to QSPA for coaching have been offered places at one of their chosen schools. Graduates work in Aussie World, Dreamworld and Disneyland, on television and in film.
Expert, fast drama training, challenging instruction, passion and drive to get you in the mood for your audition....coaching at QSPA is FUN, and REALLY WORKS. Plus you will be offered the opportunity to perform your piece/s to a real audience of drama students, who don't judge.
Fee for 1 hour $30.00
Sessions include, a general acting assessment, warm ups, selection of pieces, some directing (many institutions don't want a heavily directed piece), rehearsal and 'nailing that piece', a return visit for assessment - or if living at a distance - a final assessment of your learned monologue/duologes/s via uploaded film.
Book in for coaching with the absolute best,
and friendliest drama specialist around.
