What will students learn?
The primary aim of this school is to improve performer confidence  and  self esteem.   Improving articulation, verbal communication and imagination naturally follows after we've worked on the first two aims.   Creativity and expression is improved over a short time through the medium of drama activities but especially via physical theatre. 
Working as a team on productions gives a sense of professionalism and importance.  Activities are lead with energy in a disciplined but fun atmosphere.
 

Activities covered;
Improvization           Projection of voice and articulation/diction
Lots of theatre games to improve teamwork, trust, imagination and memory.
Acting skills; building a character, script work, monologues, duologues and
scene work.         Short theatre presentations and full scale productions.
Circus Skills          Dance work              Singing             Physical Theatre
Mask making and acting with masks
Puppetry, shadow puppet plays, working with larger puppets.
Making carnival structures.
Filmwork.  From idea to script to auditions to rehearsals to... FILM NIGHT!
Theatre trips/fundraising events.
Learning how to write for theatre/direct a play and participation in 
The Young Directors and Playwright Project

Short William Shakespeare Festival
Assisting and learning about  light and sound and backstage technical work.
